About Yiesha

Yiesha Jones earned her law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2016 after a three-year course of study. She came to the practice of law after college and law school years that placed her at the intersection of public service and frontline advocacy. Her entry into the Arkansas legal community followed quickly after graduation.

Jones joined the State Bar of Arkansas in 2016 and has maintained membership since then. Early in her career she moved into work that brought her face to face with urgent client needs. In 2020 she served as a Domestic Violence Staff Lawyer at the Center for Arkansas Legal Services. That role involved direct representation of survivors, case preparation for hearings, drafting protective orders and coordinating with local social service providers. The position required steady courtroom work and a readiness to respond to shifting client priorities.

After her time at the legal services center, Jones transitioned to private practice. In 2022 she took a position as a lawyer at wh Law. There she expanded the scope of her practice beyond individual protective-order matters. Her caseload has included family law issues, civil remedies related to safety and stability, and other matters that intersect with domestic relations and protective issues. Her work in both nonprofit and private settings has given her experience in litigation, client counseling and negotiated resolutions.

Colleagues describe Jones as pragmatic in court and thorough in legal preparation. She handles factual investigation, legal research and pleadings, and she has experience managing cases from intake through trial or settlement. The mix of public interest work and private client advocacy informs her approach. She has worked with court systems and social-service networks in Arkansas to coordinate outcomes for clients who require rapid intervention and longer-term legal remedies.

Jones maintains an active practice at wh Law. Her practice spans domestic violence representation, family law disputes and related civil matters. She remains engaged in work that centers on legal protection and practical outcomes for clients in Arkansas, and she continues to accept cases through her firm that involve protective orders, custody and other family law concerns.
