About Yelena
Yelena Sharova earned her law degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2008. She completed a rigorous curriculum and entered the bar shortly after graduation. Her legal education provided training in trial advocacy, legal research and writing, and the procedural rules that govern state and federal practice.
After completing law school, Sharova built her practice across state lines. She is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and maintains an active caseload in each jurisdiction. Early in her career she handled a mix of courtroom matters and client counseling, developing practical skills in litigation and transactional work.
Sharova’s work spans client representation in courts and direct legal counseling. She appears in state and local forums and handles filings and negotiations that arise outside the courtroom. Her approach is methodical. She breaks complex problems into manageable parts and communicates plainly with clients about options and likely outcomes.
At the core of her day-to-day practice are case preparation and client advocacy. She drafts pleadings, prepares discovery, and manages motion practice when cases move toward resolution. When matters settle, she handles the documentation that closes a file. She also advises on contractual and administrative matters that affect small businesses and individuals who operate across New York and New Jersey.
Sharova maintains current professional memberships and takes part in continuing legal education to keep pace with changes in statute and case law. She stays engaged with developments that affect procedures, evidence, and the substantive law that governs her clients’ matters. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in the way she evaluates risk and selects a course of action for each client.
She practices through Sharova Law, where she manages client intake and case strategy. Her work is centered on practical problem solving rather than legal theory. She communicates regularly with clients, tracks deadlines, and coordinates with other professionals when a case requires specialized expertise. Her current practice centers on serving clients in New York and New Jersey.
