About Ross
Ross Karsnitz earned his J.D. from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2010. He completed his studies at a time when the local legal community was adapting to a changing civil litigation landscape. The degree set the groundwork for courtroom work and trial practice that would define his career.
He began his legal career the same year he graduated, serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Jan R. Jurden. The clerkship gave him early exposure to judicial decision-making and the mechanics of civil dockets. After that year in chambers he moved into private practice and steadily advanced through litigation roles, taking on increasingly complex civil matters.
Today he is a partner at Morris James LLP and a member of the firm’s Personal Injury Group. In that role he manages cases from filing through trial preparation. He handles discovery, motion practice and client advocacy in state courts. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and persistent in pursuing settlements when they serve a client’s interests.
Beyond his caseload he participates in local legal governance and professional organizations. He serves on the Sussex County Superior Court Civil Advisory Committee, where judges and practitioners meet to discuss court procedures and local practice issues. He is also a Sussex County-at-Large board member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, a role that connects him to trial lawyers across the state and keeps him involved in continuing legal education and legislative developments affecting civil litigation.
Karsnitz splits his time between trial preparation and appellate-minded litigation tasks. He works regularly on personal injury cases and other civil matters in Delaware courts. His practice combines courtroom work, pretrial strategy and client counseling. He currently concentrates his practice on personal injury litigation and civil trial work in Delaware.
