About Wendy
Wendy Ashby earned a law degree from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1992 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her academic path led her from a science-focused undergraduate program to the study of law, a transition that shaped the practical way she approaches problems.
Her career has been a blend of public service and private practice. Early on she became involved in local professional and civic groups, joining the Bucks County Estate Planning Council in 1995 and the Bucks County Bar Association in 1997. Over the years she added memberships in the Family Law Section and the Elder Law Section of the Bucks County Bar Association, and she joined the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 2011.
Ashby’s civic involvement spans municipal boards and nonprofit committees. She served as Vice Chair of the Upper Milford Township Parks and Recreation Committee in 2010, later joining the township’s Open Space Committee in 2015. In 2016 she was a member of St. Luke’s Hospital Development Committee and, in 2018, she joined the Advisory Board for the Upper Bucks County Senior Center. Those roles reflect steady engagement with community-level planning and services.
Her work in dispute resolution is signaled by her certification as a mediator through the Bucks County Bar Association and by her role as a mediator for the Bucks County Foreclosure Mediation Program in 2014. That experience put her in the room with homeowners, lenders and local officials during a period when foreclosure mediation was an important tool for stabilizing families and neighborhoods.
Membership in estate planning, elder law and family law groups suggests the subjects she encounters most often in practice. The combination of bar association activity, municipal committee service and certified mediation work points to a practice that mixes counseling, negotiation and courtroom readiness when needed.
She practices from Ashby Law Offices, LLC. Today she continues to handle matters that draw on her experience in estate planning, elder law, family law and mediation, while remaining active in local boards and bar association sections.
