About Warren Timothy

Warren Timothy Channell built a career that bridges security, criminal justice and law. He earned a J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2004. Earlier, he completed undergraduate studies at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he studied Security Administration and Police Science. That academic mix shaped the early arc of his professional life.

Channell began his formal legal career after joining the Florida Bar in 2007. He moved into local bar and civic work soon after. His membership in the Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Section dates back to 2007, and he joined the Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court and the Florida Bar’s Administrative Law Section in 2010. He has also been active in the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association, serving as its president since 2010. The array of affiliations reflects steady involvement in both courtroom practice and professional organizations.

Before law school and parallel to his legal work, Channell maintained ties to security and public safety. He holds a CPP in Security Management from ASIS International. That credential ties to his undergraduate training and informs how he approaches investigations, client intake and case preparation. It is a practical asset in cases that require review of incident reports, security policies or administrative procedures.

Over the past decade and a half his practice has focused on family and administrative law matters in Florida. He represents clients in family court proceedings and handles administrative hearings when matters cross into regulatory or licensing issues. He is known around the local bar for steady courtroom presence and for participating in professional education programs through the Inns of Court and bar sections. Colleagues describe him as someone who values process and preparation. He has balanced courtroom work with bar leadership, particularly through the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association where he has held the presidency.

Channell operates out of the Channell Law Firm, maintaining an East Orlando office and a Clermont office to serve clients across the region. He manages a caseload that blends contested family matters with administrative and regulatory disputes. He continues to maintain active memberships in the Florida Bar and local bar groups while overseeing operations at his firm. He currently practices law concentrating on family law and administrative matters in Florida.
