About Waleed

Waleed Zaman trained first as a business student and then as a lawyer. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance and Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2011 and completed his J.D. at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2015. Those two degrees sit at the center of how he describes his work: an overlap of business thinking and legal craft.

His early legal work began after law school. In 2016 he joined Aisen, Gill, and Associates as an associate lawyer. That role gave him exposure to day-to-day client work and the mechanics of running matters through to resolution. Two years later he launched his own practice, founding Zaman Legal in 2018. He has since taken on another leadership role as owner of Zaman & Trippiedi, PLLC, where he oversees both casework and firm operations.

Colleagues say Zaman approaches problems with an eye to practical outcomes. He often draws on his finance background when advising clients. That training informs how he analyzes transactions and evaluates risk. He is comfortable explaining technical concepts in plain terms so clients can make informed choices.

Public service has been a constant thread in his adult career. Since 2018 he has taken cases through the Pro Bono Project on a case-by-case basis. He treats that work as an extension of the lawyer’s role in the community, stepping in when an individual’s need aligns with the resources he can offer. The pro bono work complements the private-client practice and gives him a wider perspective on access to counsel in Nevada.

Running a firm has altered how he spends his days. There is still client-facing lawyering, but there is also staff supervision, intake decisions, and strategic planning for the office. Zaman balances those demands by structuring his calendar to keep direct client work at the center of the practice. He also mentors younger attorneys who join the firm, passing along procedural knowledge and practical tips learned during his years as an associate.

He is licensed to practice in Nevada and has built a practice that reflects both his academic background and early professional years. He currently practices at Zaman & Trippiedi, PLLC, handling matters that draw on his business training and prior firm experience.
