About Victor A.
Victor A. Denaro has practiced law in Massachusetts for four decades. He began his formal education at Salem State College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1981, and completed his legal studies at Gonzaga University School of Law in 1985. He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1986 and later gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Over the years he has maintained active status in state and federal bars.
After law school Denaro chose a path common to many who prefer direct client contact: he established a solo practice. He has operated as a sole practitioner for the span of his career, handling matters that require appearances in both state and federal forums. His courtroom work has included litigation in the District of Massachusetts and filings in the First Circuit appellate system, reflecting the range of his admissions and memberships.
Denaro holds memberships in a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the Massachusetts State Bar, where his membership dates to 1986. He also belongs to the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Federal District Court Bar, the Federal Appellate Court Bar for the First Circuit, and the American Association for Justice. Those affiliations position him among peers who practice in state and federal courts and who follow developments in procedural and substantive law.
As a sole practitioner Denaro has overseen all aspects of his practice. That includes client intake, case preparation, motion practice and court appearances. He has worked with individuals and organizations that require case handling at the trial level and, when necessary, appellate briefing in the First Circuit. His practice model centers on sustained client contact and direct courtroom advocacy rather than on the departmental structure found in larger firms.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe his approach as straightforward and procedural. He maintains active bar memberships and engages with the legal community through those groups. He has been present in Massachusetts courts and in federal court proceedings for much of his career, adapting to changes in court rules and litigation technologies along the way.
He currently practices as a sole practitioner in Massachusetts, representing clients in matters filed in state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
