About Val
Val Kleyman brings a scientific undergraduate background to a steady legal practice. He earned a B.S. in Neuroscience from Syracuse University in 1999 and went on to receive a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2004. The shift from laboratory study to law school shaped a methodical approach to analysis and argument.
Soon after finishing law school, Kleyman launched his own practice. In 2004 he founded the Kleyman Law Office and has maintained that firm since. He is admitted to practice in New York and has built a practice that serves clients across the state. Starting and running a solo firm has meant handling the full spectrum of day-to-day responsibilities: client intake, case strategy, court appearances and the administrative work that keeps a small office going.
Over more than two decades in practice, Kleyman has worked on a mix of matters that reflect the needs of individuals and local businesses. He provides counsel, prepares filings, and represents clients in hearings and negotiations. His background in neuroscience informs the way he examines technical materials and prepares factual presentations. That analytical bent shows up in case preparation and in the way he distills complex information for judges and opposing counsel.
Kleyman has maintained professional association memberships since 2004. Those memberships have offered access to continuing legal education and a professional network. He uses those resources to stay current on procedural developments and evolving case law in New York. Running a small practice has also required Kleyman to manage client expectations and the practical realities of litigation and dispute resolution.
Clients and peers describe the office as straightforward and practical. Kleyman handles matters personally and retains outside specialists when a case requires additional expertise. He balances court work and out-of-court negotiations, and he places emphasis on clear, direct communication with clients. The Kleyman Law Office remains a small, client-centered practice rather than a multi-office firm.
Kleyman continues to operate his practice in New York. He remains active in the legal community and focuses his work on representing individuals and businesses in a range of civil matters through his firm, Kleyman Law Office.
