About V. Paul Bucci
V. Paul Bucci II earned his undergraduate degree in political science from West Virginia University in 1993. He went on to study law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1998. Those years in school gave him a grounding in legal doctrine and advocacy. They also placed him squarely within two regional legal cultures: the Mountain State where he completed his undergraduate work and the Midwest law school where he took his first steps as a lawyer.
After law school Bucci entered practice and ultimately became licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He has maintained active professional memberships in legal organizations. Over time he settled into private practice work that keeps him tied to both states where he is admitted.
His career path led him to Laffey, Bucci & Kent, where he is based in the Philadelphia office. At the firm he has worked alongside other attorneys on client matters that require courtroom presence, negotiation and case preparation. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and exacting in case preparation. He balances litigation tasks with the practical demands of representing clients across state lines.
Bucci’s background in political science and his years of legal practice shape how he approaches cases. He draws on that academic foundation when analyzing statutory issues and on years of trial and transactional work when advising clients. He has experience handling matters that arise in the jurisdictions where he is licensed. Clients and other lawyers have relied on him for counsel in matters routed through Pennsylvania and West Virginia systems.
In addition to casework, Bucci participates in the professional life of his bar memberships. He attends continuing legal education and stays engaged with developments affecting practice in the states where he is admitted. He has remained active in the legal community in a way that keeps his skills current and his perspective on practice practical.
Today Paul Bucci practices from the Philadelphia office of Laffey, Bucci & Kent. He is licensed in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and continues to handle legal matters for clients in those jurisdictions.
