About Uri
Uri Grant took a measured path into the law. He earned a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2019 after undergraduate studies in psychology at California State University, Sacramento, where he received a B.A. in 2015. The academic record was accompanied by practical experience during law school. Those years established a foundation of courtroom exposure and hands-on legal work that would shape his early career.
While still in school, Grant held several roles that placed him inside courtrooms and county offices. In 2018 he served as a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. The same year he worked as a law clerk at Porter Scott. In 2019 he was a certified legal intern at the Sacramento County District Lawyer's Office. Each position offered direct experience in legal research, drafting and supporting courtroom proceedings.
Grant moved into county practice after law school. In 2019 he joined the San Joaquin County District Lawyer's Office as a deputy. He returned to a county prosecutor’s office in 2021, serving as a Deputy District Lawyer for El Dorado County. Those posts involved courtroom work, case preparation and day-to-day responsibilities typical of county law offices. The sequence of roles gave him steady exposure to litigation and the practical demands of public service lawyering.
In 2022 Grant shifted to private practice as a lawyer at the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt. That move followed several years in public-sector positions and the law school roles that preceded them. In private practice he has continued to appear in court and to manage individual matters from intake through resolution. The office listing identifies him at the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt, where he carries forward the courtroom and case-management skills developed in prior roles.
Grant is licensed to practice in California and his career has remained rooted in the state. His trajectory shows steady progression from law student internships to county deputy roles and into private practice. He currently practices at the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt, handling litigation and courtroom matters in California.
