About Eric
Eric Fernandez earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2005. He arrived in the profession after early staff roles that exposed him to both large-firm practice and in-house counsel work. That educational foundation set the stage for a varied legal career across law firms and corporate legal departments in California.
Fernandez’s early professional years included work at Heller Ehrman in 2000 and a position as a senior paralegal at DLA Piper in 2004. Those roles placed him inside established legal organizations during formative years in practice. In 2009 he became a shareholder at TFLG, A Law Corp, a move that marked his transition into firm leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
The next decade saw Fernandez alternate between firm-side practice and in-house roles. He was listed as a lawyer at Goodman Law Corporation in 2020 and then served as general counsel for MTI College in 2021. The general counsel post required handling internal legal matters for an educational institution and involved regulatory and operational issues common to that sector. In 2022 he returned to law firm practice at Spinelli, Donald & Nott, and a year later he joined the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt as a lawyer.
Throughout his career Fernandez has practiced in California and maintained professional memberships. His background includes experience in both litigation environments and corporate legal settings. The combination of large-firm exposure, a shareholder role at a law corporation, and an in-house general counsel appointment suggests an ability to shift between advising organizations internally and representing clients externally.
Colleagues describe Fernandez as someone who adapts to different legal environments and handles routine and complex matters alike. He has worked on matters that require attention to regulatory detail and on cases that call for courtroom preparation. His path shows an attorney who moved steadily from support roles into positions of responsibility and who has continued to work in a range of legal contexts.
As of 2026 Fernandez practices at the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt. He concentrates on representing clients in California state matters.
