About Tyler

Tyler Olson combined an early interest in agriculture with law and policy studies. He earned a B.S. in Agribusiness and Spanish from Utah State University in 2003. He then completed an MBA in International Food and Agribusiness at the Royal Agricultural University in 2005. He returned to the classroom a few years later and received his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2011, where he took an emphasis in Natural Resource and Environmental Law.

After law school, Olson built a practice shaped by the intersection of agriculture, natural resources and regulatory issues. He has worked on matters that touch on land use, water allocation and compliance with environmental rules. His background in agribusiness and in international food systems informs how he assesses transactions and permits. He has also advised clients on business structures and agreements common to farming and food production.

Olson's academic path left him with practical tools. The MBA gave him exposure to international supply chains and commercial strategy. The law degree added a legal toolbox for environmental statutes, administrative procedures and property concerns. His undergraduate work included Spanish, which broadened his cultural perspective on agricultural communities.

Colleagues describe Olson as methodical and direct in handling technical regulatory matters. He favors clear explanations over legal jargon. He prepares clients for hearings and negotiations by mapping regulatory timelines and identifying critical decision points. In administrative settings, he emphasizes documentation and a steady presentation of facts. In transactional work, he focuses on risk allocation and practical contract terms that reflect on-the-ground realities for producers and landowners.

Olson is admitted to practice law in Idaho and practices in the state. He handles matters that involve natural resources, environmental regulation, and agricultural business concerns. He maintains a practice that addresses both transactional needs and regulatory compliance for clients operating in Idaho's agricultural and resource sectors.

He currently focuses his practice on natural resources, environmental regulation, and agricultural law in Idaho.
