About Troy G.
Troy G. Rosasco built a legal foundation at Cornell University, where he earned a B.S. in Labor Relations in 1985, and at St. John’s University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1989. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is authorized to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Early in his career Rosasco combined public service and local engagement. He served as a trustee on the Farmingdale Board of Education in the 1990s and later took on a decade-long role as vice chairman of the Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority. Those local roles ran alongside steady participation in county bar associations, beginning with membership in the Nassau County Bar Association in 1990 and the Queens County Bar Association in 1991.
His work in the field of workplace injury and disability law is reflected in a long record of professional association leadership. Rosasco has been on the board of the New York Injured Workers Bar Association since 2004 and served on the executive board of the Injured Workers Bar Association in the same period. He joined the Lawyer Grievance Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association in 2005. Beginning in 2006 he became a board member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives, where records list him as a sustaining board member.
Rosasco has also engaged in advocacy and political activity related to workers’ issues. He co-chaired the New York Workers’ Compensation Alliance PAC from 2005 to 2009 and held a seat on the Nassau County Bar Association Board of Directors from 2004 to 2007. Memberships extend to broader trial and advocacy groups, including the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Workplace Injury & Advocacy Group.
In 2020 he became a founding partner of Hansen & Rosasco, LLP. At the firm he handles matters that arise in administrative tribunals and in court. His practice history includes representation of people in workers’ compensation cases, Social Security disability claims, and related litigation in state and federal venues, including appellate work before the Second Circuit.
Colleagues and clients see Rosasco’s profile as a blend of courtroom experience and administrative advocacy, shaped by decades of bar service and local public roles. He maintains an active practice at Hansen & Rosasco, LLP that centers on workplace injury and disability matters.
