About Travis
Travis Moeller entered law school after completing a bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Washington’s Tacoma campus. He earned his B.A. in 2012 and continued his legal studies at Seattle University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2016. Those years included classroom work and practical placements that shaped the early arc of his legal career.
While still in law school, Moeller took on roles that placed him inside courts and advocacy organizations. He served as a juvenile court extern at King County Superior Court in 2014. In 2015 he worked as a student fellow at the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, where he engaged in projects tied to civil liberties and equal protection. That same year he served as a Rule 9 legal clerk at Blair & Kim, PLLC, gaining exposure to the firm’s caseload and courtroom practice. He also assisted Professor Carmen Gonzalez as a research assistant, contributing to legal scholarship and classroom research during 2014.
After earning his law degree, Moeller joined Blair & Kim, PLLC as an associate lawyer in 2017. In that role he moved from student and clerk positions into full-time practice. His early assignments at the firm included drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and participating in client conferences and hearings. Those responsibilities expanded his experience in litigation and courtroom procedure in Washington state courts.
Moeller is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and practices under Washington jurisdiction. His background combines public interest placements and private firm work. The Korematsu Center fellowship and the King County externship exposed him to juvenile justice and civil rights issues. At Blair & Kim he continued to develop skills in case preparation and courtroom advocacy.
Colleagues describe Moeller as methodical in legal research and steady in court settings. He has handled casework that required attention to procedural detail and familiarity with local court rules. His trajectory shows a mix of academic study, public interest engagement, and firm-based litigation work. That mix informs how he approaches client matters and courtroom strategy.
He remains an associate at Blair & Kim, PLLC, where he represents clients in Washington state courts, including matters involving juvenile proceedings and civil rights-related issues. His current practice centers on litigation and representation in state-level matters in Washington.
