About Tracy S. Reeves
Tracy S. Reeves Jr. grew up interested in the mechanics of law and public service. He earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, in 2006. He went on to earn his J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2010, where he studied criminal and family law topics.
After law school, Reeves began his career in the public sector. He joined the Coweta Judicial Circuit as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2013. The courtroom became his day-to-day environment. He handled prosecutions and gained experience managing cases from investigation through trial.
In 2016 Reeves moved to the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit as a Senior Assistant District Lawyer. That role expanded his responsibilities. He supervised younger attorneys and took on more complex prosecutions. The work required quick judgment and the ability to weigh community interests against individual rights.
Reeves shifted toward private practice in 2018 when he became a partner at The Maloof Law Office. In that position he balanced courtroom work with case strategy and client counseling. The move to private practice allowed him to see cases from the other side of the courtroom. He worked on criminal defense and family law matters and handled both negotiations and contested hearings.
Eventually Reeves established his own practice, The Law Office of Tracy Reeves. Opening a solo firm gave him control over the kinds of matters he accepts and how he manages client relationships. He draws on years of prosecutorial experience when assessing evidence and preparing for trial. At the same time, his time in family law courts informs how he approaches sensitive custody and support disputes.
Peers and clients describe him as straightforward. He prefers plain talk in and out of court. He prepares methodically and sets clear expectations for clients about timelines and possible outcomes. He views each case on its own facts rather than relying on formulaic approaches.
Reeves is licensed to practice in Georgia and has spent his career working in state judicial circuits across the Atlanta area. He continues to handle litigation and trial work as well as advising clients on case strategy and courtroom procedure. He handles criminal and family law matters in Georgia.
