About David

David Hanson began his legal career shortly after admission to the State Bar of Georgia in 2009. He entered the profession as an associate at Kilpatrick Townsend the same year. The early years at a national firm exposed him to complex docket work and client demands that require careful preparation and courtroom readiness. He gained experience managing filings, researching case law, and supporting trial teams in both state and federal matters.

In 2013 he moved into a partner role at Weathington LLC. The transition placed him in a position to lead client matters and take on greater responsibility for strategy and outcomes. Over the next decade he balanced litigation tasks and case management while deepening his familiarity with procedures in Georgia courts. Colleagues from that period describe a lawyer who preferred clear written work and thorough preparation before hearings.

Hanson took another step in 2023 when he helped found Hanson Fuller. Starting a firm required shifting from practice to practice-building. He has overseen business operations alongside serving clients, recruiting staff, and refining the firm’s approach to case handling. During that time he also maintained his active membership in the State Bar of Georgia, a membership he has held since 2009. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Across his career he has worked in both trial and appellate settings. He has experience preparing briefs, arguing motions and managing discovery. His background includes handling matters that moved between state trial courts and federal filings, and he has represented clients at various stages of litigation. The record shows repeated involvement in procedural and substantive questions that shape case trajectories.

Hanson’s day-to-day combines courtroom preparation with client communications and docket oversight. He manages matters from initial pleading through post-judgment phases when needed. Colleagues say he pays attention to detail and approaches deadlines methodically. He currently practices at Hanson Fuller, where his work involves litigation in Georgia courts and filings before the Eleventh Circuit.
