About Tori K

Tori K White began her academic path in public administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she completed undergraduate studies in 1997. She returned to the classroom a decade later to earn her Juris Doctor from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in 2009. That same year she joined the State Bar of Georgia and has maintained active membership since.

She opened her own practice, Tori White Legal Group, in 2010. The move came after a period of early legal work that prepared her to run a small firm. In 2015 she served as a Guardian ad Litem through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, a role that put her in court advocating for the interests of children in contested family matters. The combination of private practice and court-appointed work gives her a direct view of how family disputes play out both at negotiation tables and in judicial settings.

Her training complements that courtroom experience. She completed Domestic Violence Mediation Training through the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. She also took Parent Coordination Training at The Cooperative Parenting Institute. Those credentials reflect a practical orientation toward tools other than litigation — mediation and parent coordination — that professionals increasingly use in parenting and custody disputes.

Colleagues describe her practice as concentrated on family-related issues, particularly cases that involve parenting plans, custody questions, and safety concerns tied to domestic violence. She has worked with parents and courts on arrangements intended to reduce conflict and create clear routines for children. Her Guardian ad Litem work gave her firsthand exposure to the facts judges consider when making decisions about a child's welfare.

In the office, she manages the business side of a small law firm while handling client counseling, negotiation, and courtroom appearances. Running a small practice means she combines case management with direct client contact. It also means juggling filings, scheduling, and the day-to-day decisions that shape how a case progresses.

Her bar membership in Georgia has been continuous since 2009. She keeps current on dispute resolution options and parent coordination methods through periodic training. Clients who seek alternatives to contested litigation often look to mediation or parent coordination first; those are methods she is trained to employ.

She currently focuses her practice on family law, mediation, and parent coordination.
