About Todd G.
Todd G. Cole built an unconventional path to the law. He earned a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University in 1991 after studying international business at the University of Copenhagen in 1989. He went on to receive an MBA from Emory University in 1994 and later returned to legal studies, earning his J.D. from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2007.
His earliest legal experience came in the federal courthouse. In 2005 he served as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Barry Seltzer in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. That clerkship exposed him to a range of civil matters and federal procedure. He later moved into private practice and founded Cole Law Group, PC in 2009.
Cole’s career blends litigation, mediation and in-house work. He has held a corporate legal post as General Counsel and Vice President at Muovitech beginning in 2016. He has also taught law-related subjects as an adjunct professor at Trevecca Nazarene University in 2012. Those varied roles have given him experience in courtroom advocacy, corporate legal operations and classroom instruction.
He maintains admissions across multiple jurisdictions, including Florida, Minnesota and Tennessee, and has appearances in federal venues such as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is also admitted to practice before the EOIR Immigration Court. Those credentials enable him to handle matters at state, federal and immigration levels.
Cole is listed by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 mediator in both family mediation and general civil mediation. He holds memberships in a number of bar organizations: the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Williamson County Bar Association and the Tennessee Association for Justice. Those affiliations reflect ongoing participation in professional communities across jurisdictions.
His private practice at Cole Law Group, PC has centered on civil litigation and dispute resolution. He handles mediations in family and general civil matters and represents clients in state and federal courts and before immigration tribunals. He continues to split his time between courtroom work, mediated settlements and advising businesses on legal matters.
