About Timothy W.
Timothy W. Weber followed a steady academic path to the law. He earned a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Florida in 1993. He continued at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and completed his J.D. in 1996. Those years at Gainesville anchored a career built around appellate work.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and in several federal forums, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit, and the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits. The Florida Bar has recognized his appellate credentials through Board Certification in Appellate Practice. Those credentials are reflected in long-term involvement with professional groups dedicated to appeals and local bar activity.
His professional service has included elected and appointed roles. He served on the Sixth Circuit Grievance Committee for The Florida Bar from 2011 to 2014. He has belonged to the St. Petersburg Bar Association since 1997 and to the Appellate Practice Section of the St. Petersburg Bar Association since 2000. He chaired that appellate section from 2003 to 2005. He has also been a member of the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar since 2001. Those roles give him an insider’s view of how appellate practice operates in court and in bar governance.
Weber’s practice is anchored in appellate litigation. He prepares briefs and handles oral argument in state and federal appeals. His admissions to several circuits and to the Supreme Court mean he can present cases at many appellate levels. Colleagues and court records reflect steady appellate work rather than trial‑level general practice. He works on legal questions that hinge on record review, precedent and standards of review rather than fact-finding at trial.
Cases in appellate settings require a different rhythm from trial work. The writing must be concise and the argument tightly structured. Weber’s career shows an emphasis on those skills. He has moved through professional roles that connect bar service, committee work and appellate advocacy.
He remains active in appellate sections of local and state bar organizations and has kept ties to the St. Petersburg legal community over the years. His current practice centers on appellate matters in state and federal courts.
