About Bruce
Bruce Burk earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina - Columbia in 2015. He completed his legal training shortly after finishing law school and moved into practice in Florida, the state where he is admitted to practice. His early career decisions show a steady progression from classroom to courtroom and office work.
After law school Burk joined the ranks of professional legal organizations and has maintained membership since 2015. Those early professional affiliations helped him build a practical understanding of courtroom procedures and client representation. He spent the years after admission gaining hands-on experience in case preparation, filings, and hearings.
In 2022 he established Burk Law Office, PLLC. The move to open a solo practice marked a transition to managing both legal work and the business side of a firm. Starting a firm required him to oversee intake, client counseling, and litigation strategy while also handling the administrative responsibilities of a small office.
His work covers representation in Florida state matters, where he appears in court and handles administrative proceedings. He prepares pleadings, conducts discovery, represents clients at hearings, and negotiates settlements when appropriate. Colleagues describe him as practical and straightforward in litigation settings, preferring clear legal positions and direct communication.
Burk’s practice reflects the realities of running a small firm. He balances client work with tasks that larger firms often delegate: billing, case management, and local court appearances. That combination of responsibilities keeps him close to the facts of each case, and gives clients a single point of contact from intake to resolution.
Outside of casework, he maintains ties to professional associations. Those memberships, held continuously since 2015, provide a steady source of continuing legal education and local professional contacts. They also offer opportunities to stay current on changes in state law and procedure.
Today he practices at Burk Law Office, PLLC, serving clients in matters that arise under Florida law. His current practice focuses on representing clients in Florida state courts and administrative proceedings.
