Timothy V. Kassouni is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989 and holds bar number 142907. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Kassouni is the founder and managing partner of Kassouni Law, a law firm with offices in Sacramento and Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 36 years, serving clients throughout California, including the Sacramento and Los Angeles metropolitan areas.

Mr. Kassouni earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1989. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 1985. During his time at Loyola, he studied eminent domain and inverse condemnation law under Professor Gideon Kanner, a leading scholar in the property rights field. He also served as the student president of the Loyola Law School Federalist Society.

Mr. Kassouni concentrates his practice in the areas of land use and zoning, appellate law, and business litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving constitutional property rights, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, environmental law, and real estate disputes. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kassouni has handled cases in the Superior Court of California, the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, the United States Court of Claims, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at the Zumbrun Law Firm, where he served as both senior attorney and legal director. He also served as a temporary Deputy District Attorney with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office and completed a judicial externship for Justice David N. Eagleson of the California Supreme Court in 1988.

Mr. Kassouni is an active member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, serving on the Property and Business Sections. He is also a member of the Federalist Society and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer, an honor limited to 5% of attorneys statewide. He has written published articles, including "The Ripeness Doctrine and the Judicial Relegation of Constitutionally Protected Property Rights," which has been cited numerous times by scholars in the land use field.
