About Shawn
Shawn Dhillon built his academic foundation in California. He earned a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Sacramento, then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law. Those credentials set the stage for a legal career rooted in state practice and the technical demands of property law.
He has been active in the California legal community for several years. Since 2019 he has served on the Executive Board of the California Lawyers Association's Real Property Law section. In 2020 he took on the role of Chair and Editor of the section's e-News, a position he continues to hold. He also holds membership in the Real Estate Transactions and Land Use Committee, a role he began in 2019.
His association work combines administrative responsibilities and content stewardship. As Chair and Editor of the e-News he curates material that reaches practitioners across the state. Board membership has involved policy discussions and organizational planning for the Real Property Law section. Committee participation keeps him engaged with the practical issues that attorneys encounter in property transactions and land use disputes.
In practice he is based in Sacramento. He is listed as practicing at Real Estate Law Corporation. The thread running through his professional activity is real property law. He works on matters related to real estate transactions and land use, and he frequently addresses the procedural questions that arise in those areas.
Peers and colleagues see him as a regular presence in the state's real property bar. He contributes through publication editing and committee service as well as through client work. His career reflects an emphasis on keeping practitioners informed and on handling the legal work that accompanies property ownership, transfer, and regulation. He currently practices real estate and land use law at Real Estate Law Corporation in Sacramento.
