About Timothy
Timothy Ramsey earned his law degree from Boston College Law School in 2013 after completing undergraduate studies at Suffolk University in 2010. His legal education began in the Northeast and stayed there; the credentials reflect a standard three-year law program followed by an early entry into practice. Those academic years set the groundwork for courtroom work and community-based bar involvement that came later.
He began his association with the same firm as a law student. In 2010 he served as an intern at Tremont Sheldon P.C., where he gained exposure to file preparation, client intake and courtroom procedures. After graduation, he returned to the firm as a lawyer in 2013. That transition from intern to lawyer at the same office has defined his professional path and anchored his practice in Connecticut.
Ramsey has maintained active participation in local and federal bar organizations. He holds membership in the Federal Bar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, which complements his work in state venues. He joined the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association in 2014 and has been involved with its committee work. He has also served as Law Day Chairman for the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association since 2016, a role that has involved organizing public-facing events and coordinating volunteer outreach.
On a day-to-day level, Ramsey’s work is shaped by courtroom procedure and case preparation. His long-standing association with a trial lawyers group and his federal bar membership point to regular work on litigated matters and appearances in Connecticut courts. He has experience drafting pleadings, participating in hearings and preparing evidence for trial. Those tasks form the core of his professional practice, and they are supported by the firm’s resources and local court familiarity.
Colleagues describe him as a steady presence in the firm’s litigious docket. He has stayed at Tremont Sheldon P.C. since his early days as an intern, building continuity in client files and case management. That continuity has allowed him to follow matters from intake through disposition, and to develop practical responses to evolving case problems.
He remains based at Tremont Sheldon P.C. in Connecticut and continues to practice in state and federal courts. He currently practices at Tremont Sheldon P.C., where his work centers on litigation in Connecticut courts.
