About Etan
Etan Hirsch built his path to the law in a series of pragmatic steps. He earned a B.A. from The George Washington University in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2008. Those years included stints that exposed him to both policy and courtroom work. He worked as an analyst at American Express after college and spent a year at the Investor Responsibility Research Center before moving into legal positions.
While still in law school, Hirsch picked up courtroom experience through internships and a federal clerkship. He served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 2006. He also interned in the State of Connecticut Superior Court, Part A Criminal, in 2007, and worked with the New York Attorney General’s Office in 2006. Those roles placed him on both sides of the bench early in his career and acquainted him with the processes of state and federal courts.
After law school, Hirsch began practicing law in Connecticut. Since 2008 he has been a lawyer at Hirsch Andrade, LLP. His resume shows a steady movement from analysis and public-sector internships into private practice. He has maintained memberships in several professional organizations, including the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with the bar and trial practice communities.
Hirsch’s work history combines investigative analysis with courtroom exposure. An early role at the Investor Responsibility Research Center and a position at American Express gave him an analytical grounding. The judicial clerkship and state-level internships added practical legal experience. Colleagues and clients see the combination of those experiences in how he approaches casework: methodical, attentive to procedural detail, and informed by time spent inside courtrooms.
He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and has practiced there since 2008. His career has balanced public-sector training and private practice. He remains active in several bar and trial organizations and continues to practice through Hirsch Andrade, LLP, handling matters in Connecticut courts and federal matters when they arise.
He currently maintains his practice in Connecticut through Hirsch Andrade, LLP, where he handles cases for clients in state and federal courts.
