About Thomas Keith
Thomas Keith Mirabile has spent decades moving between classrooms, courtrooms and advisory boards. He has combined academic work and courtroom practice over a long career. He is known for a steady presence in immigration and international law circles and for regular appearances in federal courts.
Mirabile's formal education spans liberal arts, graduate study and law. He earned a B.A. from Northern Illinois University and an M.A. from Northeastern Illinois University. He holds a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law and completed an LL.M. at DePaul College of Law. He also pursued graduate certificates in applied gerontology at Webster University in 2018 and undertook graduate study at the University of St. Francis in higher education.
Teaching and academic engagement have been recurring themes. Early in his career he served as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University in 1986. In 1991 he taught at Webster University as an adjunct full professor. He was a visiting professor at DePaul University in 1997, teaching ethics and international law. In 2009 he lectured for the University of Liverpool Faculty of Law LL.M. international law programme. Those roles sit alongside long-term advisory work tied to graduate programs and law school institutes.
His professional associations reflect a long involvement in immigration and health law governance. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 1986 and remains active in the Chicago Chapter. He chaired the International and Immigration Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association from 1991 to 1992. Since 2010 he has served on the advisory board of the Health Law Institute at DePaul College of Law. He also holds a seat on the advisory board for graduate programs at the University of St. Francis.
Mirabile is admitted to practice in numerous federal and state forums. His registrations include the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Tax Court. He is admitted in Illinois and Oklahoma and to several federal district and circuit bars, including the Seventh and Tenth Circuits and multiple U.S. district courts such as Northern Illinois, Western District of Oklahoma, Southern District of Wisconsin, Arizona and the Eastern District of Michigan. He maintains an office at Mirabile Law Office, where he represents clients in immigration, international and related federal matters and appears in federal tribunals. He practices immigration, international and federal litigation matters at Mirabile Law Office.
