About Thomas Daniel Frith

Thomas Daniel Frith III earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1979 and completed his legal training at Washington and Lee University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1982. Those years set a clear path: education in Virginia followed by entry into the state’s legal community. He returned to the Commonwealth to build a career rooted in courtroom work and trial practice.

After law school he entered the Virginia bar in 1982 and began practicing in state courts. His career spans several decades of litigation work. He has remained active in professional circles that emphasize trial advocacy and civil litigation. Over time his professional activity has blended courtroom practice with participation in regional and national trial organizations.

Frith’s association memberships reflect that trajectory. He has been a member of the Virginia State Bar Association since 1982 and has belonged to the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association of Justice since the same year. He joined the American Board of Trial Lawyers in 1982 and later became a member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, joining that group in 2010. Those memberships have kept him connected to peers who handle contested cases and civil trials.

Colleagues and clients see him as someone who spends much of his time on litigation. He tries cases, prepares matters for trial and represents clients in contested proceedings. That work often requires detailed pretrial preparation and courtroom advocacy. He has spent years developing skills in examining witnesses, presenting evidence and arguing motions in Virginia courts.

He practices at Frith & Ellerman Law Office, PC. There, he continues to take on cases that require trial-ready representation. The office listing ties him to a small firm environment where matters move from investigation to courtroom. He has handled matters that require sustained litigation efforts rather than brief consultations.

Today he remains active in the Virginia legal community and in national trial associations. His practice in Virginia courts centers on trial litigation and representation of clients in contested civil matters.
