Thomas C. "Tim" Knowles is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1967. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Knowles is a partner at Van Blois & Associates, a law firm specializing in personal injury cases, with offices in Oakland, Stockton, and Lafayette, California. He has been practicing law for over fifty-eight years, serving clients throughout Northern and Central California.
Mr. Knowles earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where he graduated in 1967. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Williams College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at UC Hastings, he developed a strong foundation in legal principles, which has informed his extensive career in personal injury law.
Mr. Knowles concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, including trucking accidents, construction accidents, products liability, industrial accidents and explosions, and auto and truck defects. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving workplace injuries, defective products, and various transportation-related accidents. Prior to joining Van Blois & Associates, he worked as a defense attorney representing Ford Motor Company, providing him with valuable insight into the automotive industry and product liability cases.
Mr. Knowles is an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. He has been recognized for his legal expertise, earning an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and being named to Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2014-2015.
