About Therese
Therese Felth built a legal path that moved quickly from classrooms to courtroom work. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Trade at Florida Atlantic University in 2005, then earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2011. Those academic years set the stage for practical work inside the local judicial system and private practice.
While in law school she took on several volunteer and clerk roles. In 2009 she served as a judicial intern in the Office of State Lawyer for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit. The following year she worked as a law clerk at the Law Office of Max R. Price, P.A. Those positions gave her early exposure to case preparation, hearings and the procedural side of litigation.
After passing the bar, she joined Franklin Legal Group, P.A. as an associate in 2011. She spent the early years of her career building trial and client-facing experience. In 2014 she became a partner at McKenzie Law Office, P.A., a move that expanded her responsibilities in case management and firm operations.
Her memberships reflect a steady involvement in the Florida legal community. She has been a member of the Florida Justice Association since 2015 and joined the Florida Bar Family Law Section in 2017. She belongs to the Women Lawyers Association of Northwest Florida and the Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Association, both since 2016 and 2014 respectively. She also holds membership in West Florida Collaborative Law, Inc. beginning in 2018. These affiliations indicate ongoing engagement with peers and continuing legal education.
Colleagues describe her as someone who prioritizes practical solutions in family law matters. She regularly handles contested and uncontested family law cases and is active in collaborative law circles. Her courtroom work is balanced by efforts to resolve disputes outside trial when possible, including negotiated settlements and collaborative processes.
Her work over the years has combined litigation experience, client counseling and participation in professional organizations. She has handled case intake through final disposition and has overseen aspects of firm practice since becoming a partner. Her background includes both courtroom exposure from internships and the day-to-day demands of private practice.
She is licensed to practice in Florida and practices at McKenzie Law Office, P.A., where she manages family law and collaborative law matters.
