About Thaddeus Mikulski

Thaddeus Mikulski Jr. leads a small firm practice that has mixed courtroom time, arbitration panels and community involvement across New Jersey. He runs the Law Offices of Thaddeus P. Mikulski Jr. from offices in Pennington, N.J., and Fairless Hills, Pa. He has moved comfortably between trial work and roles that review and shape how juries and counsel operate.

He earned a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame before taking his law degree from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in 1977. The law school class year anchors a career that has stretched across decades of practice in New Jersey.

Early in his career he added teaching to his resume. In 1988 he served as an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey School of Business, bringing practical courtroom perspective into the classroom. That same era saw him on the Superior Court of New Jersey arbitrator panel, a role he held from 1988 through 2013.

Mikulski’s work in professional circles has been steady. He is a member of the State Bar of New Jersey and the New Jersey Association for Justice. He helped found the Mercer County Inn of Court and remains a founding master. On the federal side, he serves on an arbitrator panel for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He also sits on the New Jersey Supreme Court Board on Lawyer Trial Certification in the civil trial lawyer category and participates in the Committee on Jury Selection on Criminal and Jury Trials.

His committee work has included leadership and oversight roles. He chaired the District VII Fee Arbitration Committee and the Model Civil Jury Instructions Committee in 1993–1994. He served on the New Jersey Supreme Court District VII Ethics Committee in 1997–1998. Outside the legal associations, he has been active on the board of the Anchor House Foundation.

Throughout his career he has moved between advocacy at the courthouse and evaluative roles that require judgment about how cases should proceed. He works as an arbitrator and mediator on panels that handle disputes outside the public docket. His teaching experience and committee work on jury instructions and fee arbitration feed directly into that side of his practice.

He is the owner and manager of the Law Offices of Thaddeus P. Mikulski Jr., operating from Pennington, N.J., with an additional office in Fairless Hills, Pa. He focuses his practice on civil trial work, employment law, and arbitration.
