About Robert D.
Robert D. Novicke graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick/Piscataway with a B.A. in political science in 2017. He stayed in the Rutgers system and earned his J.D. from Rutgers University6ndash;Camden in 2019. Those years shaped his understanding of law and public affairs and set the stage for his work in New Jersey courts.
After law school, Novicke built his practice around state and federal procedures. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. That combination allows him to handle matters that move between state and federal forums, and to file and argue cases where federal jurisdiction is at issue.
Novicke joined Ionno & Higbee Lawyers at Law, LLC as an associate in 2023. At the firm he works alongside more senior attorneys on litigation and transactional matters. His role as an associate involves drafting pleadings, preparing filings for court, and participating in client strategy sessions. He also conducts legal research and prepares written analyses that support trial and pretrial work.
Colleagues describe Novicke as methodical and direct. He writes clearly and prefers practical legal solutions. In meetings he is noted for asking precise questions rather than relying on broad summaries. Those habits trace back to his undergraduate study of political institutions and policy, and to the demands of law school practice.
Outside the office, Novicke maintains professional ties that began early in his career. He continues to develop courtroom experience in both state and federal venues. That on-the-ground exposure complements the legal writing and brief work he performs at the firm.
Novicke6rsquo;s path so far is one of steady progression: a political science undergraduate degree, a law degree in 2019, and advancement to an associate role at Ionno & Higbee in 2023. He handles matters for clients in New Jersey and appears in the federal court for New Jersey when cases require it.
He currently handles litigation and related matters in New Jersey state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
