About Teri
Teri Doepke is an attorney licensed to practice in Georgia who has moved between public service and private practice over the last two decades. She began her legal career in the public defender’s office and later opened her own firm. Her work has been rooted in courtroom practice and client advocacy in state courts.
Early in her career, Doepke served as Chief Assistant Public Defender at the Newton County Public Defender’s Office beginning in 2005. In that role she represented clients charged with crimes, handled courtroom proceedings and worked on case investigation and client counseling. The position gave her sustained trial exposure and an understanding of how local courts and prosecutors operate.
In 2018 she formed The Doepke Law Office, LLC and transitioned to private practice as the firm’s owner and lawyer. Since then she has managed the firm’s caseload and the practical demands of running a small law office. Her work in private practice has continued to involve courtroom appearances, negotiations and case preparation. She has guided clients through arraignments, pretrial matters and hearings while balancing the administrative responsibilities of an independent practice.
Doepke maintains current memberships in professional associations relevant to lawyers practicing in Georgia. She has kept active connections to the local bar community and to colleagues who practice in overlapping areas. Those memberships support continuing legal education and routine engagement with changes in state procedure and criminal law practice.
Colleagues describe her as thorough in courtroom preparation and steady under pressure. Her prior public defender experience informs how she approaches client interviews, evidence review and trial strategy. In private practice she applies those same practical habits to serve individuals facing criminal charges or related legal matters.
Her office, The Doepke Law Office, LLC, is based in Georgia and has handled matters across the state’s trial courts. Doepke continues to appear in court on behalf of clients and to manage the firm’s daily operations. She remains based in the state where she began her career and continues practicing in Georgia courts. Her current practice concentrates on criminal defense and related matters in Georgia.
