About Tyler
Tyler Carey earned a B.A. in political science from Augusta State University in 2013 and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2016. He moved through the usual stages of legal education: classroom study, clinics and practical projects, and several internships that exposed him to courtroom procedure and client work. Those years shaped his approach to the practice of law and his view of how lawyers should communicate with clients and colleagues.
While in law school and shortly after, Carey gained practical experience in local offices. In 2015 he served as a research law clerk at The Keenan Law Office. Earlier, in 2012, he worked as a law clerk at the Richmond County Solicitor’s Office. Both placements involved legal research and drafting and placed him in contact with prosecutors, defense attorneys, and civil practitioners. The internships offered a steady stream of hands-on assignments and taught him how to manage deadlines under pressure.
Carey is admitted to practice in Georgia and has spent his professional life working within the state’s legal system. He has handled matters that required close attention to procedural rules and clear written advocacy. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and careful in factual analysis. He has supplemented classroom training with practical tasks that often make the difference in litigation and transactional work: research, pleading drafting, and organizing factual records for hearings and trials.
He maintains offices listed as Main Office and Loganville Office, serving clients through both locations. Those offices act as his primary points of contact for intake, consultation, and client meetings. He balances appearances in court with written pleadings and client counseling, drawing on the internships and law school experience that framed his early career. He currently practices law in Georgia from offices in Main and Loganville.
