About T. Shane
T. Shane Peagler built a path to law that began in the humanities. He earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1998, followed by an M.A. from the same university in 2000. More than a decade later he completed his legal training at Georgia State University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2011. The combination of liberal arts study and a law degree shaped how he approaches legal work: careful reading, clear writing and an eye for structure.
After law school he entered practice at The Law Offices of Michael Neff, P.C. The record lists that firm as his professional affiliation. At the firm he performs the day-to-day work of an attorney, advising clients and handling tasks that arise in litigation and transactional matters. He brings to that work the language skills gained in his earlier studies and the research habits developed during law school.
Peagler maintains membership in the Georgia State Bar. His bar affiliation is current. That membership keeps him connected to the professional rules and continuing legal education that govern courtroom practice and client counseling in Georgia. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing submissions and straightforward in client communications.
His academic background in English and philosophy lends itself to legal writing and analysis. Those disciplines encourage precise argument and attention to premise and inference. In practice he applies those habits to draft motions, analyze statutory language and explain legal options to people who are not lawyers. He also relies on the practical training from law school to manage procedural deadlines and court filings.
Today he is based at The Law Offices of Michael Neff, P.C. He continues to work as an attorney and to serve clients through the firm. He holds an active membership in the Georgia State Bar and maintains an active practice at the firm, where he provides legal representation and counsel in matters handled by the office.
