Susan G — Ridgeway is a senior counsel at Hall & Evans, LLC, located in Missoula, Montana. She joined the firm in 2022, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in civil litigation and surrogacy and reproductive donation law. Her practice areas are diverse, encompassing business law, construction law, real estate litigation, and family law, with a particular emphasis on assisted reproductive technology. This specialization has positioned her as a leading expert in fertility law, especially concerning LGBTQ+ families. Before her tenure at Hall & Evans, Ms. Ridgeway was a partner at Axilon Law Group, PLLC, from 2015 to 2021. During that time, she developed her skills in various legal disciplines, ensuring her clients received comprehensive legal support. Prior to that, she practiced as a solo practitioner in Missoula from 2000 to 2015, where she built a reputation for her dedication and expertise.
Her career began as an associate attorney at Datsopoulos, MacDonald & Lind, P.C., from 1995 to 2000, where she worked in litigation and client representation. Additionally, Ms. Ridgeway served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington and completed a judicial clerkship at the Washington State Court of Appeals. This gives a solid foundation in legal principles and courtroom procedures. Ms. Ridgeway earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 1990. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, also with honors, from the University of Montana, obtained in 1984. Since being admitted to the Montana State Bar in 1991, she has expanded her practice to include federal courts, being admitted to the U.S.
District Court for the District of Montana, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Montana.
