Steven Tal Young is the principal and owner of Tal Young, P.C., a law firm based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Colorado, with admissions to the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Young earned his Juris Doctor from St.
Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from New Mexico State University. His practice areas include bankruptcy, business law, collections, divorce, construction law, probate, real estate law, and civil litigation. He has represented clients nationwide, participating in federal and state cases in multiple jurisdictions and engaging in bankruptcy cases on behalf of creditors and debtors in United States Bankruptcy Court nationwide. He has also led oral arguments in the Supreme Court.
Before his legal career, Mr. Young worked in various roles, including as a farmer, cattle rancher, and oil field roughneck in Texas. He has also worked for an electric cooperative and is a published international mountaineering photographer. He is a member of the Albuquerque and American Bar Associations, as well as the State Bar of New Mexico. He participates in the sections on Bankruptcy, Commercial Litigation, Appellate and Trial Practice, and the Young Lawyers Division.
