About Steven

Steven Pallonetti completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, earning a B.S. in Public Policy in 2004. He went on to receive his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2007. Those years shaped his legal foundation and set the stage for a practice centered on litigation in New York.

After law school, Pallonetti entered private practice. He is an associate at Schwartz & Perry LLP, where he has handled a range of matters on behalf of clients in state and federal fora. His work has involved preparing pleadings, conducting discovery, and appearing in court. Colleagues describe him as methodical and practical in his approach to casework.

Pallonetti holds admissions to the New York bar and to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Those admissions allow him to pursue cases from the trial level in New York state courts to federal litigation in two of the busiest districts in the country. He has maintained active memberships in the New York County Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association since 2007. He participates in association activities and ongoing legal education through those organizations.

His practice at Schwartz & Perry has required attention to procedural detail and firm handling of client matters. He spends substantial time drafting motions and briefing federal and state court issues. He also assists in case strategy and client counseling, helping translate complex legal concepts into practical next steps for clients. His routine work includes coordinating with experts, managing discovery timelines, and arguing procedural motions.

Outside litigation, Pallonetti’s background in public policy informs how he assesses statutory and regulatory questions. The combination of a public policy undergraduate degree and a Cardozo law education gives him a perspective on how legal outcomes interact with broader policy concerns. He brings that perspective into client conversations, especially where statutory interpretation or governmental processes intersect with private disputes.

Colleagues and clients rely on him for steady work in contested matters. He maintains court practice in New York and regularly appears in both the Eastern and Southern Districts. He currently practices at Schwartz & Perry LLP, handling matters in New York state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
