About Steven J
Steven J Laureanti earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University. He completed his legal studies there before entering practice across state lines. The law school training provided the foundation for a career that spans both Texas and Arizona.
Laureanti is admitted to the bars of Texas and Arizona. Early in his career he worked on matters that required familiarity with both state procedures and substantive law. Over time he moved into private practice and joined Spencer Fane LLP, where he now practices from multiple firm offices.
At Spencer Fane LLP he has handled a range of client matters. His work has required courtroom preparation, motion practice and negotiated resolutions. He has represented clients in state and administrative proceedings and has worked on cross-border issues that touch both Texas and Arizona law. Colleagues describe him as methodical and thorough in case preparation.
His practice has involved counseling business clients as well as individuals. That has meant drafting pleadings, advising on litigation strategy and taking part in settlement discussions. He has also managed the practical logistics of multi-jurisdiction matters, coordinating filings and deadlines across courts and agencies in different states.
Laureanti’s approach to a file is pragmatic. He evaluates risks, outlines options and communicates them plainly to clients. He balances litigation readiness with an eye toward early resolution when that serves a client’s interests. He is comfortable both in depositions and at the courtroom lectern, and he places emphasis on clear written advocacy.
He maintains an active role within his firm’s team structure, often working with attorneys in different offices to align strategy and manage resources. That collaborative work supports clients whose matters cross regional lines and require varied local knowledge. Outside the office he keeps current on procedural developments in both jurisdictions.
In his current practice he represents businesses and individuals in matters arising under Texas and Arizona law.
