About Steven

Steven Gleason took a conventional academic route into the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1972 and returned to Chicago to complete his legal studies at DePaul College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1977. Those school years framed an interest in public affairs and conflict resolution that would shape his later work.

After law school he moved into private practice in the Chicago area. Over the years his work centered on civil litigation and matters arising from personal injury. He has represented clients at various stages of claims, from initial demand through settlement negotiations and, when necessary, court proceedings. He built experience handling the practical and procedural demands of injury cases.

His practice concentrates on helping people who have been injured in accidents. He counsels clients on case assessment, liability questions, evidence gathering and damage calculations. He prepares pleadings, takes and defends depositions, and handles motions that commonly arise in injury cases. He also appears in court when a case proceeds to trial, arguing factual disputes to judges and juries.

Colleagues describe his style as straightforward. He favors early, thorough investigation of what happened and careful management of medical and insurance records. That approach aims to clarify strengths and weaknesses for clients so they can make informed decisions. He also pays attention to practical matters such as timing, medical treatment coordination and the paperwork that often slows claims down.

He practices under the name Injury Lawyer Chicago and works with clients across the city and surrounding communities. He has practiced law for several decades and continues to handle personal injury matters. He currently practices personal injury law in Chicago.
