About Steven
Steven Fisher practices law across Idaho and Oregon. He began his practical legal training with internships in judicial and private settings, working in the Tenth Judicial District court in LaGrande, Oregon in 2004 and with Mark S. Moorer, Lawyer at Law, in Moscow, Idaho in 2005. Those early placements gave him exposure to courtroom procedure and the daily work of trial lawyers.
After his internships, Fisher moved into public service. In 2006 he served as a deputy district lawyer in Baker County, Oregon. That role placed him inside the county courtroom on a regular basis and involved him in case preparation, hearings and the mechanics of local court operations. Three years later he was named a partner at Dredge Miller Koontz & Fisher, PLLC. His tenure there coincided with the firm’s handling of a range of civil and criminal matters at the trial level.
Fisher maintains memberships in multiple professional associations in both states. He is a current member of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. He also holds active memberships in the Idaho State Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar Association. These affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with peers and continuing legal education in the two jurisdictions where he practices.
Colleagues describe Fisher as a lawyer comfortable in court and in client meetings. His career shows time on both sides of the docket: public office work followed by private practice. That combination has kept him involved in courtroom procedure, trial preparation and negotiation. He has handled matters that require familiarity with local rules and practice in district courts across eastern Oregon and northern Idaho.
Today Fisher practices from Lawyer at Law, PLLC. He is licensed to practice in Idaho and Oregon and continues to handle litigation and courtroom matters across both states.
