About Steven
Steven Errante earned his undergraduate degree in economics at Hofstra University before returning to upstate New York to complete a J.D. at SUNY Buffalo Law School. He arrived in the Connecticut bar room equipped with classroom rigour and a practical sense of how law intersects with business and public life. He has built a long career in the state since then.
Early in his career he joined a private practice that would evolve into Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. Over the years he moved into firm leadership. He now serves as a managing lawyer at the firm. That role keeps him involved in both casework and the internal decisions that shape how a mid-size Connecticut firm operates.
Errante has been active in professional publishing and bar governance for decades. He has been Editor at Large of the Connecticut Law Journal since 2005 and has served as Editor at Large on the Connecticut Lawyer Advisory Committee since 2000. Those positions have involved reviewing content, advising on editorial direction and helping the bar communicate developments to practicing attorneys. He joined the Board of Governors of the CTLA in 1993 and remains on that board. His membership in the Connecticut State Bar dates back to 1979.
Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in meetings. He is the sort of lawyer who spends equal time on courtroom details and office procedures. His editorial work gives him a broader view of issues affecting the Connecticut bar, and his long tenure on professional committees has kept him connected to policy and practice debates in the state.
Errante balances his administrative duties with client work at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. He handles matters in Connecticut courts and counsels clients on legal strategies that reflect local practice and precedent. He also mentors younger lawyers at the firm and contributes to bar publications that help shape practice on a statewide level.
He is licensed to practice in Connecticut and remains active in the state’s legal community. He concentrates on managing firm operations and handling matters in Connecticut.
