About Benjamin D.

Benjamin D. Gettinger built his legal foundation at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2001. He continued his studies at Quinnipiac University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. Those years set the groundwork for a career spent practicing in Connecticut courts.

After law school, Gettinger entered private practice and has served as a lawyer at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. His resume lists Connecticut as the jurisdiction where he is licensed to practice. Over time he has remained involved in professional groups that bring together litigators and criminal defense practitioners in the state.

He holds memberships in the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Haven County Bar Association. He is also listed as a member of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. These affiliations place him in the networks that handle courtroom practice, procedure and trial work, and they suggest a steady engagement with the procedural and advocacy aspects of law.

Colleagues describe Gettinger as a lawyer who combines the analytical training of an economics undergraduate with the practice skills sharpened at Quinnipiac. His background in economics appears to inform an analytical approach to case assessment and strategy. He has navigated cases that require attention to both factual detail and legal procedure, working within the litigation environment common to county and state matters.

His work at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. has kept him anchored in Connecticut’s legal community. He has handled files that move through local courts and worked alongside other attorneys at the firm on matters that require courtroom presence and negotiation. Membership in county and statewide bar groups has kept him current on developments in trial practice and criminal defense issues in the state.

Outside of court schedules and filings, Gettinger’s professional life is marked by regular participation in association activities and continuing legal education that those memberships provide. That participation allows him to stay connected to peers in New Haven County and across Connecticut. He currently practices law in Connecticut at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C., where his work centers on litigation and courtroom representation in the state.
