About Stephen T.

Stephen T. Bowling built a career that moves from military service to criminal defense. He combines practical field experience and courtroom practice, and he has spent the last decade-plus representing people charged with DWI and other crimes in Texas.

Bowling earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Liberty University in 2006 and followed that with a Master of Science in Management in 2008. He completed his legal training at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2013. He has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2013.

His professional life began in the United States Navy. Early assignments listed him as a Fire Controlman working on the Tomahawk missile system and as a Duty Master-at-Arms. He later served on active duty as a Military Police officer. Those roles placed him in operational and security positions and exposed him to law enforcement procedures at a young stage in his career.

Between military tours and law school Bowling worked in real estate. He held the title of Owner and Broker at Steve Bowling Real Estate beginning in 2007. After earning his law degree he founded Stephen T Bowling: DWI & Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2013 and serves as its CEO. The firm focuses on defending people facing intoxication-related charges and other criminal matters in Texas courts.

Bowling maintains certifications that relate directly to roadside enforcement and evidence gathering. He holds a Law Enforcement Radar Certification from Kustom Signals and a DWI Detection and Field Sobriety Testing Certification from the Joint Services Police Department. He has also joined professional organizations that include the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College for DUI Defense, alongside memberships in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans.

His practice draws on a blend of law enforcement training, military discipline, and civil practice experience. He represents clients in DWI cases and other criminal defense matters in Texas. He concentrates his current practice on DWI and criminal defense in Texas.
