About Stephen M
Stephen M Vincent followed a steady academic path into law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Print Journalism) with a minor in English from Brigham Young University in 2004. He then completed a Master of Arts in Communication at Southern Utah University in 2008. He finished his legal studies at Arizona State University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2013.
After law school he moved into public service. In 2014 he served as a Special Deputy County Lawyer in Washington County, Utah. That role placed him inside a local government legal office, where he handled day-to-day legal matters for the county and worked on issues that often required quick, practical solutions.
In 2015 he shifted to private practice as a senior lawyer at Best Law Office. In that position he took on a broader slate of matters and greater supervisory responsibility. He handled case preparation, client counseling and courtroom appearances, and he worked alongside other attorneys to manage complex dockets and firm workflow.
By 2021 he joined State 48 Law, where his title has included client intake lawyer and appellate lawyer. His work on intake involves screening potential cases, assessing legal claims and aligning clients with appropriate resources. As an appellate lawyer he prepares briefs, researches legal precedent and argues points of law on appeal. The combination of intake and appellate work gives him a view of cases from their first contact through later-stage review.
He is admitted to practice in Arizona and maintains memberships in professional associations that support continuing legal education and networking. Those memberships have informed his practice and kept him current on state and federal developments that affect appellate procedure and litigation strategy.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and detail-oriented in written work, and deliberate when making courtroom decisions. He balances a background in communications and journalism with legal training, which shapes how he writes and presents arguments. Outside of case work he has experience in local government legal matters, which continues to inform his approach to public law and administrative issues.
He currently practices at State 48 Law, handling client intake matters and appellate work.
