About Stephanie V.

Stephanie V. Trice earned her J.D. from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. She built her practice in California courts before expanding into the federal system. Admission to the state bar and to multiple U.S. District Courts has shaped the kinds of matters she accepts and the procedural environments she navigates.

Her early career included work at Milord Law Group beginning in 2019. There she handled matters that required courtroom preparation and client counseling. In 2023 she joined K&L Gates LLP, where she continues to develop her practice. The move to a larger firm exposed her to multi-jurisdictional matters and to teams that manage complex litigation across state and federal courts.

Trice is admitted to practice in California and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California. Those admissions allow her to appear in trial and pretrial proceedings across the state. She is also a certified mediator through the National Association of Certified Mediators, a credential that reflects additional training in settlement processes and neutral evaluation.

Her professional affiliations are broad and civic in tone. She participates in the Women s Leadership Alliance and holds membership in the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the California Lawyers Association. She also belongs to the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and the John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles. Outside purely legal groups, she maintains membership in the Project Management Institute and in ProVisors. These connections expose her to both substantive legal developments and organizational practices useful to managing cases and client relationships.

Colleagues describe Trice as methodical in courtroom preparation and pragmatic in settlement talks. Her mediator credential complements trial work and offers clients an option to resolve disputes outside the courtroom. She has experience shepherding matters through pleading, discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations, and she regularly appears in federal district court matters where procedural rules and local practices matter.

She is based in Los Angeles and practices at K&L Gates LLP. She continues to combine litigation work and mediation services in her current practice, assisting clients in both contested proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
