About Stephanie J.

Stephanie J. Mensing earned her law degree and began her legal career focused on courtroom work and appellate advocacy. Early training included research and writing, courtroom preparation and client counseling. Those formative years shaped a practice that would later span trial matters and appeals.

After law school she moved into litigation. She spent time in both state and federal settings where she handled contested hearings, briefed motions and argued before trial judges. Work in trial courts provided a foundation in evidentiary and procedural practice. Over time her docket came to include an increasing number of appeals and complex post-trial matters.

That shift led to more work in higher courts. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and she also maintains admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that regularly engages with appellate procedure, preservation of issues for appeal and the particular demands of appellate briefing and oral argument.

Alongside courtroom work, she has maintained memberships in professional organizations. She has stayed involved in bar activities that relate to litigation and appellate practice. Her participation in those groups has included continuing legal education, panel discussions and other professional programming aimed at improving practice skills and court access.

She founded Mensing Law LLC to create a platform for representing clients in both trial and appellate settings. At the firm she handles briefing, oral argument preparation and trial-phase strategy. She represents individuals and entities in contested matters where issues of law and procedure require careful attention and timely advocacy.

Her approach in practice is deliberate. She prepares written submissions with an eye toward persuasion and clarity, and she works to ensure clients understand the trade-offs that come with litigation choices. Colleagues describe her work style as methodical; clients note straightforward communication.

In the courtroom she has argued motions and appeals and managed cases through settlement discussions or trial. Outside court, she trains clients on what to expect in hearings and how to preserve issues for appeal. Her work crosses trial and appellate lines in a way that keeps both immediate and long-term case objectives in view.

She continues to practice at Mensing Law LLC. Her current work includes trial litigation and appellate representation in matters brought in state and federal courts.
