About Andrew Lacy
Andrew Lacy Jr. studied political science at Washington & Jefferson College and finished his undergraduate degree in 2012. He went on to Cornell Law School and earned his J.D. in 2015. Those academic years set a clear path toward courtroom work and workplace disputes.
He began his career in the corridors of the federal courts, serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Cathy Bissoon. That role gave him a close view of federal procedure and judicial decision-making. He stepped from the clerkship into private practice later in 2015 when he joined Reed Smith LLP as an associate.
At Reed Smith he worked on employment-related matters among other commercial litigation tasks. The firm environment exposed him to complex cases and multi-party litigation. He learned to manage discovery heavy files and to prepare matters for motion practice and trial. Those years sharpened his litigation instincts and client-facing skills.
In 2021 he launched The Lacy Employment Law Office, LLC. The move marked a shift from a large-firm model to a solo practice. He trades the structure of a national firm for the ability to handle cases directly and to set the course of each client matter from intake through resolution.
Lacy is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. He handles employment matters for individuals and businesses, including disputes that reach the courthouse. His practice spans pre‑litigation counseling, negotiating settlements, and courtroom advocacy. He aims for clear, practical advice and for litigation strategies that reflect the client’s priorities.
Outside of casework he maintains professional memberships. He has continued connections to peers and the legal community through those associations. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and straightforward in argument; clients note a preference for plainspoken explanations over legalese.
He maintains an office under The Lacy Employment Law Office, LLC in Pennsylvania and continues to represent clients in employment law matters. He currently practices employment law at The Lacy Employment Law Office, LLC, where he represents clients in workplace disputes and related matters.
