About Stacy J.
Stacy J. Crider graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology. She went on to earn her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2009. Those academic choices framed an early interest in litigation and the systems that govern workplace safety and civil responsibility.
She began her legal career soon after law school. In 2009 she worked at Carl Lamb & Associates. The following year she joined Hankey Law Office as an associate. Those early assignments gave her day-to-day courtroom exposure and routine contact with clients who had suffered injuries or faced employment-related disputes. Colleagues recall her steady manner and willingness to take on practical tasks that keep a case moving.
Crider’s professional memberships list a cluster of organizations that reflect the practical side of trial work. She holds memberships in the American Association for Justice, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. She is also a member of the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group. These affiliations keep her connected to trial practice trends, continuing education opportunities and the local legal community.
Her work has centered on litigation practice. Over the years she has handled claims that require investigation, negotiation and, at times, trial advocacy. Her experience at smaller and mid-size firms exposed her to many phases of case management: intake, discovery, medical documentation and settlement negotiations. She has been involved in matters where coordinating with medical providers, vocational specialists and insurance adjusters was necessary to move a file toward resolution.
Clients who work with her find a lawyer who is methodical about deadlines and practical about case strategy. She tends to take a steady approach to correspondence and court filings, preferring clarity over flourish. That approach meshes with the case types she encounters at Hankey Law Office, where detailed record-keeping and timely motions often determine outcomes.
Crider remains active in the Indiana legal community through bar and trial lawyer groups and the workers’ injury advocacy network. She currently practices at Hankey Law Office, where her work centers on civil litigation and workers' injury matters.
