Stacie R. Smiley is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Smiley is a counsel at Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, a full-service law firm located in Los Angeles, California. She has been practicing law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Ms. Smiley earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she graduated in 2004. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at UC Hastings, she was involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in real estate law.
Ms. Smiley concentrates her practice in the area of real estate law. She represents clients in matters involving the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of various types of real property, including industrial, office, residential, retail, and multi-unit housing. Her practice encompasses all stages of real estate transactions, including negotiations, drafting of purchase and sale agreements, leases, and sale-leasebacks. She also provides guidance on the day-to-day agreements involved in owning real property.
Throughout her career, Ms. Smiley has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, she worked at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis in the firm’s real estate finance practice group, primarily representing lenders and borrowers in connection with construction and permanent financing. She also previously worked at Reish Reicher, where she regularly represented developers of troubled projects.
Ms. Smiley is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. She was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2010 and 2011 by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor earned by only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in Southern California. Ms. Smiley is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
