About Staci
Staci Krause built a law practice from early courtroom work and steady professional affiliations. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in 1996 and took her law degree at St. Mary's University School of Law, completing her J.D. in 2017. She is licensed to practice in Texas and has spent her career practicing in and around San Antonio.
Krause began her legal career in public service at the Bexar County District Attorney's Office in 2017. There she handled prosecutions and gained daily courtroom experience. The work in the DA's office exposed her to trial preparation, witness examination and negotiation under pressure. In 2018 she moved into private practice, joining Soyars & Morgan Law as an associate. Later that year she opened Krause Law Office and assumed ownership and responsibility for the firm’s caseload and business operations.
Her practice centers on criminal defense. Over the years she has handled a range of matters in state courts and developed particular experience in DUI-related cases. She maintains memberships in professional organizations that reflect that focus. Since 2019 she has belonged to the DUI Defense Lawyers Association and to the National College for DUI Defense. She is a member of the Texas Bar College and of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, both since 2018. She also holds a board position with the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, a role she has held since 2018.
Colleagues describe her courtroom style as straightforward and measured. She manages evidence review, motion practice and client counseling while preparing cases for trial when necessary. In non-trial settings she handles plea negotiations and post-conviction matters. The mix of former prosecutor experience and private practice gives her insight into both sides of criminal cases. That background informs how she evaluates options and advises clients.
Krause maintains an active practice at Krause Law Office in San Antonio. Her work combines litigation in state courts, client consultations and case management. She continues to participate in professional associations that relate to DUI defense and criminal law. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense and DUI cases in Texas.
