Spencer C. Young is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005 and holds bar number 236593. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Young is the founder and principal attorney at Spencer Young Law PC, a law firm located in Oakland, California. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and other regions of California.

Mr. Young earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Golden Gate University School of Law and Ageno School of Business, respectively, in 2004. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Tulane University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy in 1998. During his time at Golden Gate University, he graduated cum laude and was recognized as the "Outstanding Student" by former Magistrate Maria Elena James and the Honors Lawyering Program faculty in 2004.

Mr. Young concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law, civil rights, and personal injury law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, premises liability, vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and civil rights claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Young has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and various administrative agencies such as the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has also appeared before the California Public Employment Relations Board and the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked with solo practitioners Nelson Meeks and Mary Dryovage, where he gained invaluable experience in personal injury law, employment law, civil rights litigation, and trial practice.

Mr. Young is an active member of the State Bar of California. He has been a panel attorney and resource for the AIDS Legal Referral Panel since 2005. He is also a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association.
